From Tulsa World:
Tulsa is getting its own Fashion Week.
Set for Sept. 15-19, the week will highlight fashion, art and music.
The five-day event will include a Friday runway show at the Mayo Hotel and will culminate with a Saturday night red-carpet runway event at the Omni Air Transport Hangar 38 at the Tulsa International Airport, according to Tina Terry of SRO Productions.
Designers and labels already confirmed are Nine Muses (designers Jerry Matthews and Francesca Viamonte), Stephen Goudeau, Orlando Dugi, Nicole Moan and Kenya Carter. Events will also feature work by emerging designers and fashion photographers.
Planned for Tulsa’s Fashion Week are daily events, including free and ticketed admission, at different venues around the city. Events and ticket details will be announced in July.
A limited number of VIP ticket packages will also be available and will include opportunities to mingle with the designers, as well as priority, reserved seating and other benefits.
Tulsa Fashion Week organizers are working with community partners and local businesses “to design events to attract fashion-conscious audiences, encourage economic activity and tourism and spur future, continued growth of the fashion industry in Tulsa,” according to press information.
